Yes, it's the typical day that you heard the wonders that blogging can do to your life and you want to give it a try. But before you start plunging into the blogosphere, let me give you some so-called 'guidelines' to tell you the do's and don'ts of blogging.
1) Blogging is not a GET-RICH-QUICK method.
Remember, blogging is like any other career: it takes time to develop and slowly forms a stable income. So, don't start getting the idea that spamming or posting your links (almost) everywhere is going to get you jumping to that top blog earner's list. In fact, spamming just increases the number of people who dislike or even hate your blog. And when that happens, you are in serious trouble. Who knows what they can do to spoil your blog's name? Remember, a first impression is the deepest one in our minds.
2) Niche blogging is better than random topic blogging
Now this I speak from experience. I have tried randomly blogging about any topic I want to talk about and have failed (terribly). So, I decided to do a niche blog about blog tips and tutorials, which is going quite well so far. Check out my niche blogging posts here and here.
3) The sky ISN'T the limit.
Even if you're blogging to earn money, you still want to take some matters into consideration, for example your interest in a certain topic. You should not blog about something that is very popular on Google but something that you don't know or don't like! It's more important to write from the heart, and interest gives you more passion in writing. Even if you think the topic you like isn't popular now, either you think again, or you make it popular! Who knows? You might be the next person to start a new trend on Google! And believe me, if you have interest in something, there are bound to be some people out there interested in the same things as you. So let your imagination go wild and take the keyboard before you with a 'BANG'.
